Firmware Update for Phantom Flex

Phantom-Flex

The most recent firmware version for the Flex camera is version 781.

In order to install this firmware update you MUST be running PCC version v2.14.727.1 or higher. If you attempt to install this firmware on a system running a PCC version lower then v2.14.727.1 there is a possibility that the system could crash which would necessitate the return of your camera to Vision Research for repair.

Vision Research recommends this upgrade for all Phantom Flex cameras. Please note that you will not be able to view CineMag files over HDSDI from past firmware on a Flex running version 781.  Please ensure all footage created with previous Flex firmware is downloaded prior to upgrading your Flex to version 781. Vision Research always recommends that all cameras on any multi-camera shoot have the same firmware installed.

This version of firmware is shipping with new cameras, so please make sure you need it before downloading and installing it. You can check the version of firmware on your Flex camera by running PCC software click on the LIVE tab, select your Flex camera, and click on CAMERA INFO.

To upgrade your Phantom Flex camera with this latest version of firmware, please take these steps:

1. Request the firmware via this page. You will need to supply your contact information and camera serial number. You will receive an email with a dedicated download link. Download the firmware and save the file in a convenient location on your PC.

2. Ensure that you have the most recent version of the PCC software application installed on a PC, and that the software can connect to and control the camera.
