CCW Announces New Session: Pushing the Envelope: How are Satellite Communications Systems Keeping up with and Leveraging Moore’s Law?

The CCW Session, “Pushing the Envelope: How are Satellite Communications Systems Keeping up with and Leveraging Moore’s Law?” will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, 11AM-12PM. The Session is Open to Conference Attendees Only.

Technology advances based on Moore’s Law continue to change the digital landscape at an increasingly rapid pace. Ultra-HD, new broadband applications and other advanced services continue to increase the demands on satellite communications systems, while technologies such as HEVC, DVB-S2 Extensions, IP-based distribution and wideband transponders are applied to balance those demands. This session will explore both sides of the equation – the advances in services and applications available to the industry and the applied technologies available to meet the increasing demands on systems to support those services.
