Broadcast Pix™ and EditShare today announced a new partnership and a new integrated system for sports production. Combining any Broadcast Pix live video production system with EditShare’s Geevs Sports broadcast server and slow-motion controller, the bundle delivers an affordable sports production solution. Both companies are demonstrating the new bundle at the 2013 NAB Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which runs through April 11 (Broadcast Pix, Booth SL6324; EditShare, Booth SL9010).

Every Broadcast Pix integrated production system includes a multi-format production switcher, plus dedicated channels for clips, graphics, and keying. Other features include a built-in clip server, customizable multi-viewer, and Harris Inscriber CG. Geevs Sports, a family of products specifically designed for sports coverage, includes Sports Replay, a four-channel server, and Sports Assistant, a Web client for logging action during the event. The compact Geevs Sports Controller provides precise access to playlist functions with minimal keystrokes for slow-motion replays and more, as well as fast playlist creation and instant replay of any clip from multiple angles. The bundle also includes new Broadcast Pix software that provides integrated control of the Sports Replay.

“Our new partnership with EditShare creates exceptional value in an integrated system for sports production,” said Steve Ellis, CEO, Broadcast Pix. “We think this bundle will help small-market stations, schools, and others deliver sports coverage that rivals what you see from larger broadcasters.”

“Broadcast Pix systems complement our Geevs Sports system – and the combination of the two is an affordable, high-quality live sports solution,” said Andy Liebman, EditShare founder and CEO. “We are very excited about this partnership.”

The bundled system will be available in Q3 2013. Current Broadcast Pix customers will also be able to add the Geevs Sports bundle to existing systems.
