Award-Winning TAP focuses on Loudness Managment

Jünger Audio’s award-winning T*AP Television Audio Processor focuses on automatic and adaptive loudness management compliant with all current broadcast audio loudness recommendations including ITU.1770 (all versions), ATSC A/85, ARIB TR-B32 and EBU R128.

Features:

The T*AP features loudness normalization and dynamic range processing for up to eight channels of audio (4×2, or 5.1+2). Optional Dolby® decoding and encoding (Dolby E, or Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital or AAC, HE-AAC v1/2) including metadata management are also provided, along with 5.1 downmix and upmix features and sophisticated failover and voiceover systems.

DYNAMIC RANGE CONTROL AND LEVEL MAGIC

Based on a unique multi-loop control principle, Jünger Audio’s LEVEL MAGIC™ algorithm offers adaptive wideband control with exceptionally high audio quality and without any coloration, pumping, distortion or modulation effects.
The dynamic section comes with an expander and upward compressor to cover an input dynamic range of 50dB!
LEVEL MAGIC™ offers uncompromised loudness management by combining three major gain changing elements:
•    Transient Processor
•    Adaptive AGC
•    Distortion-free true peak limiter

SPECTRAL SIGNATURE

Jünger Audio’s Spectral Signature™ dynamic equalizer gives you a powerful creative tool to control the spectral structure of your program. Spectral Signature™ analyzes incoming audio and compares its spectral structure with a predetermined “station sound” curve. This allows dynamic EQ corrections to be applied, if necessary, to give a consistent sound image. Spectral Signature™ is a T*AP standard feature.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

All system parameters are remotely accessible allowing the unit to be integrated and remotely controlled by broadcast control – or automation systems. This allows users to apply individual processing to their programs, which is a key feature for well-managed loudness control. A web interface also allows easy and intuitive set up and configuration.

INTERFACES AND SYSTEM SECURITY

Audio I/O’s range from on board AES I/O to optional 3G/HD/SD SDI I/O including video delay or even analog I/O. All interfaces support power fail bypass as standard. With redundant PSU and SNMP integration the unit ensures maximum operational safety.
