GoPro Hero3: My New Year’s Resolution Recorder
January is the start of fulfilling those New Year’s resolutions, letting go of the excess weight from years’ past and also those holiday munchies. My resolution? Completing the formidable and all-extreme Spartan Trifecta. Fortunately for me just last Christmas I received the GoPro Hero3: Black Edition and a chest harness. So you can guess what I’m very excitedly planning to record.
After watching a multitude of YouTube videos that featured this nifty gadget in action, I knew that I had to have it. If you’re just as fascinated and involved as I am with high-risk/high-impact sports, you would understand. You could pretty much perform any activity with this compact cam. Run, snowboard, surf, jump off a plane! Hey, I’ve even seen this used to record a rather cool POV vid of a crazy house party. The different harnesses and mounts they offer make this device very versatile and fun to mess around with.
So what does the latest edition Hero3 offer? This device doubles as a camcorder (1080p60 / 720p120 / 1440p48 /4kp15 / 2.7kp30 / WVGA-240fps) and a camera (12MP / 30 fps Burst). It also comes with a 197’/60m waterproof housing, rechargeable Li-ion battery, Wi-Fi remote and a few mounts to get you started.
