Vinten: Vantage Robotic Camera Head for Flexibility and Support
Vinten’s Vantage is a compact and lightweight robotic camera head that offers houses of worship (HoW) unmatched flexibility and broadcast-quality movement and control at the same price point as a traditional pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera head. Vantage enables HoW production teams to choose the camera and lens that meet their specific requirements, while ensuring they can match manual camera positions, work over long distances, and manage low-light conditions as needed. Vantage supports a wide range of pro-video camcorders from a variety of manufacturers including Canon and Sony, as well as both full-servo and manual lens types.

The optional Vinten external lens drive significantly increases the number of lenses that can be used on Vantage-mounted cameras and delivers full servo functionality, including virtual reality (VR) tracking to manual lenses. Ideally suited to cine, teleconference, or ENG manual lenses, the external lens drive can drive up to three axes of any manual lens, giving users the ability to drive zoom, focus, and iris.

The μVRC controller allows studios and venues of any size to control high-end robotics and third-party PTZs. This cost-effective, modular version of the control software allows smaller budgets to leverage Vantage with a wide variety of cameras and lenses for unmatched flexibility in content creation and broadcast-quality movement and control. When paired with the Vantage, the μVRC offers a complete robotic broadcast production solution.

Sachtler and Vinten: Award-Winning flowtech75 Tripod for Live HoW Productions
Vitec Group will showcase the multi-award-winning flowtech75 carbon-fiber tripod at WFX 2018. The tripod features the world’s fastest-deploying legs, unique quick release brakes, and easily adjustable levers for quick and easy setup in any type of production environment. flowtech75 is compatible with all major 75mm fluid heads, while its sister product, flowtech100 is designed for heavier payloads and is suitable for 100mm fluid heads.

flowtech75 offers a set of two-stage legs with an easy-to remove midlevel spreader, rubber feet, and a payload capacity of 20 kilograms (44 pounds). The tripod’s quick-release brakes enable legs to be deployed simultaneously and adjust automatically to the ground’s surface, saving camera operators from bending over and manually adjusting multiple brakes on each leg. A unique hinge lock mechanism allows users to capture extremely low, ground level shots, removing the need for extra “baby legs.” Lightweight and easy to transport, flowtech tripods can be carried comfortably on the camera operator’s shoulder, with magnetic locks keeping the legs stable during transport.

Litepanels Gemini 2×1 Soft Panel — Lighting Musicians, Altars, Vestibules, and More
Also on display at WFX 2018 will be the accurate and versatile Gemini 2×1 soft panel. Gemini can be set up in an instant to produce true, flicker-free, full-spectrum white light for any frame rate, shutter angle, or intensity, which makes it ideal for live productions like Sunday services as well as streaming sermons, pastoral messages, and more.

Rendering exceptional color, Gemini enables lighting technicians to “go bold” by lighting with any color in the 360-degree color spectrum. The light’s most recent firmware update includes new special effects, new gel modes, and advanced fan operation. An all-new lighting effects mode offers dynamic effects ranging from emergency lights, lightning, and fire, to pulsing, square, and strobe. Gemini eliminates the need for color correction by offering full-spectrum white light that’s perfect for lighting musicians, stages, vestibules, altars, and more.

The versatile Gemini’s lightweight design allows the light to be rigged virtually anywhere, requiring less cabling because the power supply is built in. This production-friendly soft panel delivers full-intensity, mobile-powered operation when paired with Anton/Bauer battery solutions.

Autocue iPad Teleprompting — Portable, Robust, and Cost-Effective Mobile Prompting
Teleprompting leader Autocue will feature lightweight and portable iPad prompting solutions at WFX 2018. These solutions offer a complete package that enables any operator to turn an iPad or other tablet into a portable Autocue teleprompter, offering video professionals a robust, cost-effective solution for live and on-location prompting. Because the prompting software (the app) runs on the iPad itself — which also serves as the teleprompter monitor — there is no need for a separate laptop or additional cabling between the laptop and teleprompter. This offers very portable, quick, and easy setup within any HoW or on location. Autocue’s mobile iPad prompting solutions are also cost-effective for HoWs on a tight budget since there is no additional software, hardware, or cabling required.

Company Quote:
“Vitec Production Solutions provides high-quality products to support the increasing demands of multimedia in houses of worship of any size. Not all churches have the benefit of a dedicated, in-house production staff, so providing solutions that are cost-effective and intuitive, while yielding high-quality content, is a key factor for successful integration into the church’s overall production workflow. All of our gear — from durable camera heads and camera support systems to flexible lighting and rugged batteries — work in tandem and help church production teams capture and deliver exceptional imagery to congregations, whether they’re in a single church setting or watching via multiple locations.”
