At NAB 2013, Vizrt Ltd. will display new enhancements to the integration between Viz Media Engine and the upcoming version of Adobe® Premiere® Pro software.

Vizrt’s integration with Adobe Premiere Pro gives editors more efficient access to source material by allowing them to search and select from Viz Media Engine directly within the panels in Adobe Premiere Pro. This integration has been further enhanced for even more efficiency in the workflow and better integration for Mac users.

Editing Metadata

Metadata is key to searching for content in the Viz Media Engine and the integration with Adobe Premiere Pro has been enhanced to include fields for adding rich metadata directly within the Viz Media Engine panel. The metadata is stored as part of the media file in Viz Media Engine and enables assets to be found quickly.

Support for Mac OSX

Vizrt has improved the integration between Viz Media Engine and Adobe Premiere Pro on Mac OSX. The user interface for Viz Media Engine is now easier to use and offers a parity to how the integration functions on PC platforms.

Adobe and Vizrt will be demonstrating the full integration at both of their booths during NAB 2013. Adobe is at south lower hall SL3910.

“Adobe Premiere Pro has become the editing platform of choice for the media industry and the latest version is a stand out as a robust tool for editors,” said Petter Ole Jakobsen, Vizrt CTO. “Our work on integrating the Viz Media Engine into this platform ensures that customers of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Viz Media Engine will have a smooth, single workflow for all of their video and graphics content needs.”

Adobe Premiere Pro is Adobe’s non-linear video editing software. Built on the Mercury Playback Engine, it leverages both CPU and GPU to provide high-performance, real-time playback for virtually all native file formats including time filters and effects on both Macintosh and PC laptops or workstations.

At NAB, Adobe is previewing the next generation of its professional video and audio products (NAB Booth SL3910).

Viz Media Engine provides the broadcaster with a proven file-based workflow that enables production, management, and delivery of media to broadcast, mobile, and web that can be performed from any desktop. It integrates with numerous third-party products and supports a number of scalable storage solutions. This, combined with comprehensive APIs, gives you an extensive toolbox to integrate existing systems and workflows.
