IHSE USA’s Focus at InfoComm Features Real-Time KVM Workflow Solutions for Remote and Local Operations

Highlights to Include Draco MultiView 4K60, Draco tera flex Matrix Switch, vario Ultra DisplayPort 1.1 Dual-Head Extender, and vario Ultra HDMI 2.0 Extender

CRANBURY, N.J. — Oct. 6, 2021 — IHSE USA today announced that it will be showcasing its latest KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) solutions in booth 3955 at InfoComm 2021, taking place Oct. 27-29 in Orlando, Florida. To meet the demand for high-resolution video in large control rooms at government and commercial facilities, the company will highlight its Draco MultiView 4K60 processor, Draco tera flex series KVM matrix systems, Draco vario ultra DisplayPort 1.1 dual-head extender, and Draco vario ultra HDMI 2.0 extenders.

“Todays ‘anywhere’ connected facilities require highly secure, completely reliable information systems that enable instant access to hundreds of sources from dedicated output devices, while applications such as training simulations rely on the distribution of video content at the highest possible resolution and with no latency or video artifacts,” said Dan Holland, marketing manager at IHSE USA. “Our Draco MultiView 4K60, tera flex matrix switch, and vario DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0 extenders can meet the needs of both. Not only do IHSE systems provide a high level of security — including access control lists — and extremely fast switching for increased efficiency, but they also ensure that content is transmitted in pristine quality. We can’t wait to show what they can do in Orlando.”

The Draco MultiView 4K60 enables simultaneous operation of four computers displayed on a single display with full access from a single keyboard and mouse. Offering four inputs and two outputs, the 1RU solution is capable of handling four ultra-high-resolution video displays up to 4K/UHD at a 60Hz frame rate, users simply move the mouse from one display region to another. With programmable keyboard commands, real-time switching between video sources is also possible. By default, the system’s individual screens can be arranged freely and displayed in different modes: fullscreen, quadscreen, picture-in-picture, preview, 2+2, and free mode. Presets allow for instant switching between layouts. External control options are available via API or the GPIO interface.

Introduced in 2020, the new Draco tera flex KVM matrix systems bring advanced features normally found in larger-scale matrix frames from IHSE USA. Ranging from 16 ports to 160 ports in compact sizes, the Draco tera flex is available in 1RU, 2RU, and 4RU frame sizes. Expansion modules can be mixed between Cat-X and fiber optic types, in either 1Gbit/s or 3 Gbit/s bandwidth, and multiple switches can be interconnected easily using the optional matrix grid technology. The Draco tera flex incorporates several advanced features from the Draco tera enterprise series, including SNMPv3, LDAPS, multilingual on-screen display, encrypted communication for maximum security, and fast booting. The switch’s modular structure permits the simple interchange of individual components and paves the way for future expansion.

For high-end workstations utilizing multiple displays, the Draco vario ultra DisplayPort 1.1 dual-head KVM extender enables visually lossless extension of two high-resolution DisplayPort signals and a keyboard and mouse connected over a single duplex fiber optic or Cat-X cable. This simplifies installations and lowers costs by reducing cable requirements and matrix ports. Fully digital video signals can be transmitted in 4K resolutions up to 4096×2160 and UHD resolutions to 3840×2160, while embedded audio signals are directly reproduced by connected displays with integrated speakers. In combination with optional analog or digital audio modules, the stereo signal can be extracted and output separately.

The Draco vario ultra HDMI 2.0 extender gives users real-time access to HDMI computers from a remote workstation — including monitor, keyboard, mouse, loudspeakers, and other peripheral devices — over a duplex LC fiber connection. The integrated Fraunhofer IIS Lici® codec enables the transfer of fully digital video at 4K resolutions up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz. The KVM extender also supports audio transmission via the HDMI interface.
