Glory Star Now Shipping TAURI 7 Contactless Temperature Check Tablet

Compact Screening Solution Features Waterproof, Anti-Glare Glass; Dual Cameras; Door Access Control for Outdoor Venues; and Security-Intensive Applications

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Sept. 23, 2020 — Glory Star, the leading provider and manufacturer of commercial-grade tablet solutions, is expanding its patent-pending TAURI Temperature Check Tablet series with the new 7-inch TAURI 7 for instant, contactless temperature scanning in restaurants and retail, outdoor venues, and high-security applications. In addition to providing customizable temperature messaging and an affordable digital signage option, TAURI 7 features dual cameras, IP65-rated waterproof and anti-glare touch-capacitive glass, and TCP/IP relay.

“With the onslaught of COVID-19, we recognized that facilities such as cafes, arenas, and correctional centers now need the ability to screen temperature outside,” said Cindy Cheung, chief commercial officer of Glory Star. “Our new TAURI 7 is a durable, convenient solution designed for outdoors. It’s a waterproof model that scans temperatures quickly to keep queues moving briskly in these areas and offers features suitable for more rigorous security, screening, and access requirements.”

Designed to screen people instantly, Glory Star’s TAURI is a touch-free, highly accurate temperature check and messaging system in an Android-based tablet. It features a professional, high-quality infrared sensor that immediately detects and issues a customizable alert when a person is running a temperature, and therefore should not enter the premises. To ensure a positive, anxiety-free experience, the system’s result message can be customized. For example, if a temperature is detected or a face is not recognized in the system, the tablet can display a message such as, “Please pull to the side for a guard to assist you.”

Building upon Glory Star’s innovation, TAURI 7 is slim enough to fit on a ledge or be mounted on a stand without obstructing a narrow access checkpoint. When using the tablet outdoors, the device should be located in a shaded or covered area for the most accurate reading. It also features an IP65-rated waterproof, anti-glare touch surface that is easy to see outside. The dual cameras enable the tablet to recognize faces stored in the system when they’re screened. When used with the TCP/IP add-on module, the tablet can be used in conjunction with access control systems, providing a greater degree of security.

The TAURI 7 is available worldwide from select authorized distributors. Glory Star offers North American technical support on all TAURI products. More information about TAURI is available at
