FutureVideo V-Station®HD Multi-channel Video Recording/Streaming Systems Incorporate Seamless Multicam Project Migration to Premiere Pro

2 April 2025 — Laguna Niguel, California. Multi-channel video pioneer, FutureVideo, is announcing a new integration for Adobe Premiere Pro.

FutureVideo developed a proprietary means to seamlessly migrate multicam video projects created on its V-Station HD Multi-channel Video Recording/Streaming Systems to Adobe Premiere Pro. V-Station HD’s Project Media Management (PMM) Software using advanced SQL database technology makes the project workflow simple and organized.

According to Stephen Godfrey, FutureVideo’s Director of Business Development, “Our mission is to make multicam video projects easier and faster for the editor during the post-production phase. FutureVideo engineers developed an XML file utility to create a complete project migration to Premiere Pro that’s more comprehensive than basic export/import media processes. Once the multicam project has been completed on V-Station HD, a simple 1-step process migrates all the project’s media and metadata (including synchronization data) to Premiere Pro. Using Premiere Pro’s import utility, the XML file from the V-Station HD will be used to automatically create bins for each reel, import media, import metadata, and create the sequences—all synchronized on the timeline with cuts made during the original shoot. Cut points can be easily changed since all footage is in the bins and synchronized. It saves the editor uncounted hours and tedium.”

V-Station HD systems can be configured with up to 8 synchronous channels and up to 9 streaming video channels. V-Station HD accepts multiple signal types and frame rates with 3G/6G-SDI and/or HDMI video inputs, up to 4K resolutions. V-Station HD PMM software manages the projects and media as it is being recorded. The UI nomenclature can also be user-defined to align with the application. FutureVideo provides an update/upgrade path for its products.
