EnvironmentalLights.com Launches T-Series LED Touch Dimmers and Controllers

Touch sensitive controllers and receivers allow users to wirelessly customize and control LED strip lights.

EnvironmentalLights.com recently launched the new T-Series of LED dimmers and controllers for LED strip lights. Each remote control features a touch sensitive color wheel, preset programs, memory function and compatible receivers for creating custom lighting design in any home or business.

The T-Series of controllers includes the Multi-Zone LED Touch Dimmer, Multi-Zone White Adjustable Touch Dimmer and a Programmable RGB LED Touch Controller.

"Our Multi-Zone Dimmers are ideal for homes, businesses, and commercial facilities where different rooms or areas in a room require different types of lighting," said Alicia Cheng, Director of Product Development. "By controlling each zone individually you have the ability to create the perfect ambiance in multiple areas, as well as save energy by turning off the zones that are not needed."

Multi-Zone LED Touch Dimmer & Receiver

The Multi-Zone LED Touch Dimmer (Dim-T1) is a simple and easy way to customize white LED strip lighting to achieve the perfect brightness. The touch sensitive color wheel gives 256 brightness options, in addition to preset levels that set lights automatically to 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% brightness at the touch of a button.

"Dimming is important not only for ambiance but also because of the energy savings when lights are run at less than maximum power," explained Lauren Rueda, Product Engineer. "The memory functions on the remote control let you save your favorite settings so you can easily adjust the lights to that level with one button."

When paired with the LED Touch Receiver (Dim-T1-T2-Receiver), the user can control 5, 12, or 24 volt DC LED strips or other LEDs. The Multi-Zone LED Touch Dimmer also allows for users to control and dim LED strip lights in multiple zones (up to 8 zones), with an unlimited number of receivers in each zone. Zones can be controlled individually or together for coordinated light control.

"Zones can be different rooms or different areas within the same room," explained Rueda. "This system allows you to control larger areas while also simplifying your LED installation by eliminating wires and pairing multiple receivers with a single remote."

Multi-Zone White Adjustable LED Touch Dimmer & Receiver

The Multi-Zone White Adjustable LED Touch Dimmer (Dim-T2M) allows the user to customize 2-channel white LED strip lighting to achieve the perfect color temperature and brightness. White adjustable LED strip light, also known as color tunable or white balance, is white lighting that can be adjusted across a range of color temperatures.

Color temperature is the degree of warmth or coolness of a light source, measured in kelvins (°K). Warm light is in the lower temperatures (2,700-3,000°K) and can appear yellowish, similar to a standard incandescent bulb. Cool light is in the higher temperatures (4,000-6,500°K) can appear more bluish, similar to daylight.

"The body’s circadian rhythm is regulated by photoreceptors in the brain. Research has shown that warm light promotes relaxation and cool light promotes energy and focus," said Cheng. "Optimize your lighting environment by working in cool light throughout the day and relaxing with warm light in the morning and evening."

The White Adjustable LED Touch Dimmer features a touch sensitive color wheel which lets users find the perfect balance of color temperature – over 65,000 color options available. It also has a preprogrammed dynamic mode which fades lights between warm and cool tones, with adjustable speed.

Just like the LED Touch Dimmer, when paired with the LED Touch Receiver (Dim-T1-T2-Receiver) the White Adjustable LED Touch Dimmer can control 5, 12, or 24 volt DC LED strips or other LEDs. By using the receivers the user is able to setup and control a maximum of 8 zones, with an unlimited number of receivers in each zone. Zones can be controlled individually or synchronously all from one remote.

"The receiver is rated at 5 amps per channel which is 50 watts per receiver at 5V, 120 watts per receiver at 12 volts, or 240 watts per receiver at 24 volts" explained Cheng. "Our Color Tunable LED strip uses up to 42 watts at 12 volts DC per 5 meter reel. Therefore, you can control 2.5 reels of Color Tunable strip with each receiver."

Programmable RGB LED Touch Controller & Receiver

The Programmable RGB LED Touch Controller (RGB-T3X) allows the user to control 4-wire Red-Green-Blue 12 or 24 volt DC LED strips or other RGB LEDs. The touch sensitive color wheel provides over 16 million color options, and the controller comes with 32 pre-programmed modes, 7 static and 25 dynamic.

"This controller allows you to create up to 8 custom color sequences and store them using the memory function," explained Rueda. "You can choose whether to fade, step, or strobe through the color cycle, and adjust the speed and brightness."

To create large installations and eliminate wiring complications, multiple RGB LED Touch Receivers (RGB-T3-5A) can be paired to one controller. The receivers will automatically sync to create seamless RGB LED lighting effects. A single remote can control an unlimited number of receivers within the effective range, coordinating all modes and color changes.

"A unique feature of the RGB LED Touch Receiver is that it can be operated independent of the remote control," said Cheng. "Also if you set a mode to run on one receiver, all other receivers in the area will display the same mode. However without the controller you are not able to access or create custom color sequences."

EnvironmentalLights.com provides detailed wiring instructions for LED linear lighting (flex strips, super flat rope, modules and rigid strips). In addition, they provide the design criteria charts that tell you how many feet, LEDs, modules, reels or other units you can put on each branch and each drive unit (controller, decoder or amp).
