Audio Wireless introduces a new range of portable systems for location sound recordists at IBC 2014.
Exhibiting on Stand 8.E98, the UK-based Designer and Manufacturer Audio Wireless showed its innovative range of wireless microphone systems, with specialist products for location sound recording, ENG/EFP and broadcast. Offering wide frequency-switching bandwidths maximising international freedom, the receivers and transmitters are complemented by the new in-line powering adapter delivering P48 from a single AA cell for wireless boom applications and a Digitally Tuned Antenna Distribution System.
AWT-1 – Belt-Pack Transmitter, with a switch-able-frequency bandwidth of up to 250 MHz (500 – 750 MHz), enabling simple operation for crews, camera operators and sound recordists working worldwide. Available for operation on a single AA cell, dual AAA cell (Mini-TX) or as a dual AA cell version with higher transmitter power.
AWDR-1 – Small True-Diversity Receiver, with a digitally switched tracking filter operating across up to 250MHz (500 – 750 MHz), scanning the entire bandwidth to locate an empty channel, secure from adjacent-band interference.
AWDH2+1 – Offers a complete solution for antenna and power distribution for sound bag use, a lightweight diversity housing for location sound recordists, accepting up to three AWDR-1 receivers with a NP1 battery holder allowing internal or external powering options.
AWDH5+1 – Comprehensive system for sound bag or cart: accepts up to six AWDR-1 Receivers, NP1 battery for antenna and power distribution with multiple DC in/out ports and power management facilities including remote Antenna Powering.
AWMR-120 – Belt Pack IEM Receiver designed for production crews on location or in the studio and powered by two AA cells. Using Audio Wireless digitally tuned tracking filtering of over 122 MHz; available in 500 – 622 MHz and 600 – 722 MHz bands.
AWP48 – In-line P48 power adaptor for wireless boom applications, providing very low noise, passive 12dB gain, true P48V for phantom powered condenser microphones. Housed in a light weight machined aluminium tube with integral AA battery compartment. The input is a XLR female and the output can be terminated to suit any brand of wireless transmitter input.
DTAD – A unique custom design, the Digitally Tuned Antenna Distribution system offers excellent adjacent channel rejection for interference free operation feeding up to six Diversity Receivers. User adjustable settings are via the OLED display to tune within the frequency range from 470 – 720 MHz. The DTAD is fitted with 2 x BNC as Antenna inputs and 2 x 6 SMA Antenna output connectors with switchable Remote Antenna Powering facility. Housed in a rugged machined aluminium box.
All Audio Wireless unique designs, together with their overall strength and durability are focused on withstanding the heavy demands of day-in-day-out location use while remaining compact. The Systems are easily programmed via a new OLED interface and are adjustable across the entire usable TV UHF band.
