ATG Broadcast announces DTT multiplex

UK-based systems integrator ATG Broadcast announces the successful completion of a multiplex system forming part of the extension of terrestrial digital video broadcasting services for a major European transmission service organization.

“This project increases the number of channels which can be carried on the DTT multiplex,” comments Dave Whitaker, ATG Broadcast Projects Manager. “We began by creating detailed wiring drawings from outline system schematics. We then prepared cable schedules and commenced prefabrication. Central to the new installation are encoders, multiplexers and monitoring and control subsystems as well as subtitlers, and an SDI router.”

Following assembly, the system was delivered to the relevant locations for on-site testing and is now live at various sites around the country.
