Digital Video Expo Relaunched as Next | Video Conference and Expo

Expanded Program reflects Industry’s Evolution and Growth

* To be held October 1-3, 2014 at the Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena
* Addition of new multitrack conference program
* Broadened scope to grow audience segments

NewBay Media has announced that its annual Digital Video Expo event will be rebranded as the Next | Video Conference and Expo. This year’s event will take place October 1-3 at the Pasadena Convention Center, which is easily accessible for California-area Video, Broadcast, and Production Professionals.

Next | Video will significantly expand the coverage of video streaming, distribution, and enterprise-level creation and acquisition. With an expanded show floor that features new content pavilions, Next | Video will also include a new multi-day, multitrack conference, offering the latest in available technology, best practice usage, tools, and techniques.  This year’s Next | Video will excite returning attendees as well as new attendees with streaming and enterprise interests.

“The renaming of the event reflects our intention to keep pace with — and even anticipate — the rapid changes we’re witnessing in technology,” says Carmel King, NewBay Media Executive VP. “Now more than ever, it is crucial that we focus on bringing the latest, greatest training, content, and technology to our show.”

New Conference Program

A major expansion within the event is the addition of a two-and-a-half day multitrack conference that includes a keynote luncheon and networking reception. Conference tracks at Next | Video include Next | Production, Next | Postproduction, Next | Streaming Tech, Next | Distribution, and Next | Enterprise Media.

The program ranges from assessing the latest technology solutions and trends in broadcast, video production, postproduction, and streaming media, to exploring current outlets and business strategies for the media and entertainment community. NewBay will significantly invest in expanding marketing outreach to these audience segments, attracting more high-qualified attendees to the show.

Broadening the Experience

“We recognized that our attendees wanted a more immersive experience at the event,” adds King. “Integrating this new conference expands the educational offerings and networking, and broadens the scope to attract a larger and more diverse audience of video/media professionals. Additionally, we will continue to work with other content partners to produce the most up-to-date and relevant material for our audience.”

The expo will feature the latest products and services for the video/broadcast community, complementing the program content and allowing attendees to both learn about and receive hands-on experience with new technology.

The event website will launch in March at NextVideoExpo.com, and updates will be communicated to subscribers of related NewBay publications and members of the media.
